We provide remote education when:
High-Quality Teaching Our remote education mirrors the standards of teaching pupils receive in school. Lessons are planned so that knowledge and skills build incrementally, with regular assessment and clear explanations.
Curriculum Coverage Pupils learning remotely follow the same curriculum as those in school, covering all national curriculum subjects.
We use:
Technical Support - Contact the school office if you're having difficulties accessing online platforms
Device Loans - We have laptops/tablets available for families who need them
Printed Materials - Available for families who prefer or need paper-based resources
Parents and carers will find it helpful to understand what systems we use to filter and monitor online use. It will be especially important for you to be aware of what your children are being asked to do online, including the sites they will be asked to access and who from the school (if anyone) your child is going to be interacting with online.Keeping Children Safe in Education
We work closely with pupils with SEND and their families to ensure remote education is accessible and appropriate.
If you have any questions about remote education, please contact school via Class Dojo
All of our children at Middleton Primary school have access to EdShed. These apps help with English, Spelling, Maths and Times Tables. Your child will have brought home their EdShed username and password and these can be used on each of the different sites. You can access the sites below:
Balanceability have also provided some free resources for parents.
All of the children are familiar with Supermovers as we use it regularly within school.
