We are well into our second week of the Spring term - and Spring is in the air! We grow our own vegetables in school and this week and last we have harvested brocolli, swiss chard and curly kale. Our catering staff then cook this and children are really enticed to try the vegetables!! Next week is a 2-week 'Eat More Veg' campaign and by involving children in growing, harvesting and tasting food grown in school is a really good way to get them to try new things! You can see our chickens in the photo too - we can't let them out at the moment, due to bird flu - but they like helping themselves to our school-grown veg!
